Did i actually get the picture to show??
Did i?
Did i??

If this works, then THANK YOU SHANEYPOO!!!

Post-Sleepover BLues...

Well not really.. just getting some quiet time now.. Had a great Saturday weekend =) which started with a supermarket trip with Nat and Liongkoon to buy food for cooking lunch and dinner.. then we made our 'should-be-award-winning' beef salsa with tortilla chips for lunch and ate it by the tennis courts in btw plays.. you should have came shane.. im sure nat's playing would have made u feel good.. *hahaha* no lah, nat improved twds the end too, except i was too tired to play with her then.. hehe..

Lynn and Alfian joined us later and after 3 hrs of tennis we all went up and made dinner: pasta ala Campbell cream of chicken soup.. haha it was actually really good! creamy sauce of soup, chicken strips, mushrooms, BASIL (lots).. a yummy accomplishment.

Lynn and Nat stayed for a little sleepover.. and we karaoked in my room for abt 2 hours.. singing --confidential-- songs.. hehe then we cooked supper.. ate chips.. pigged out alot. I have like albums after albums of VCD/DVD's at home but it took the 3 of us (read: NAT) like an hour to decide on ONE movie to watch.. The Mask of Zorro.. but it didnt take long after the show started for our unanimous vote that the CLEAN SHAVEN Antonio Banderas is pure hotness.

Woke up the next morning ard 10.. Lynn went for church while Nat and I grabbed our bikinis and went tanning/swimming! ok im kinda sleepy now.. hope u guys had a good weekend too =)

So who ELSE works in City Hall / Raffles City??

When i got my job at Raffles City Tower a couple weeks ago, i thought 'bummer.. one hour loner lunches, here i come'.. Then darling Shane came down to have lunch with me a few times, and yesterday I met up with Benjamin and Nat who were working at Raffles Place..

Went down for lunch alone tdy, but bumped into Shanes friend, Faith, whom i presumed was working in the area too.. and just as i did my routine toilet visit before i go back up for work, i looked into the mirror and guess who i saw behind me? My BESTEST friend from Sec 3.. *da-da-da-da!* ISHA DOSHI! ok, i guess only RGS and UWC peeps would know just how hot, sexy, tall, radiant, bubbly, smart, gorgeous, and sugar-sweet this babe is..

Me: I-i-isha???
Ish: *gasp* Mildred??!
Me: Omigosh.
Ish: Omigosh!
Me: OMIGOSH!!

turns out, SHE'S back frm nyc to do an EDB internship at my office bldg! except we never saw each other cuz 13th and 18th floors use different lifts.. hmm.. we're SO gonna catch up.. more than 4 yrs later (no emails, phonecalls, icqs, letters..) and God still makes us bump into each other, amazing =)

Went back to NUS just now to pick up a recommendation letter from my lecturer.. (i wanna go on exchange to Chicago) and boy was it 'glowing in the dark' abt me.. haha

"Mildred.. bright, articulate, and enthusiastic.. came to class well-prepared.. participate actively.. despite general reluctance of her classmates.. inquisitive.. projects herself confidently.. affable, warm, cheerful, and diplomatic.. interpersonal skills.. "

*WoOOOooOOOoW!*

oh and just ONE more thing... just now, when Shane and i was walking out from Wheelock after dinner.. all of a sudden, from the big tree in front of Wheelock, a big lumpy section of a tree branch just dropped straight down and hit this couple in front of us! the girl didnt seem to badly hit but the guy got it on his head! (*aww* poor thing..) but thats not all, when everyone finally realised what the commotion was abt and the couple walked off, we found an OPENED BLUE DUREX WRAPPER lying with the fallen tree branch and leaves! hahaa.. u think it fell out from the guys pants? or were some other people having fun in that tree...? hehehe

Yay! another milestone in Mil's IT education:
I've got music on my blog! haha..
thanks Benjamin!

for now it's "1979".. not claiming that i've always been a devoted Smashing Pumpkins fan.. but this was one that i've always liked.. and it's not too irritating a blog song, riight?? hehe

Oh i wish Thailand officials would just suck out Shane and DHL him back to me.. i miss him *grin*

Now, usually i dont do this but uh...
Go ahead n break em off wit a lil preview of the remix

now im not tryin to be rude,
but hey pretty girl im feelin you
the way you do the things you do
reminds me of my Lexus coup
that's why im all up in yo grill

you must be a football coach
the way you got me playin the field

[pre-chorus]
so baby gimme that toot toot
let me give you that beep beep
runnin her hands through my 'fro
bouncin on 24's
while they say it on the radio...

[chorus]

Bounce-bounce-bounce-bounce-bounce-bounce-bounce
Bounce-bounce-bounce

Now its like murder she wrote
once i get you out them clothes
"privacy" is on the door
still they can hear you screamin more
girl im feelin what you feelin
no more hopin and wishin
im bout to take my key and
stick it in the ignition

[pre-chorus]
[chorus]

crystal poppin in the stretch navigator
we got food every where
as if the party was catored
we got fellas to my left
hunnies on my right
we bring em both together we got drinkin all night
then after the show its the (after party)
and after the party its the (hotel lobby)
and round about 4 you gotta (clear the lobby)
then take it to the room and *fuck* somebody

[pre-chorus]
[chorus]

Talking to Liongkoon:

Sneeky-trix (0:48 AM) :
anyway I went to the gym on monday and my stomach cramp until today and I cna't stand straight hahaha how sad is that

::eX-bimbo:: (0:50 AM) :
haha.. i remember the 1st time i ever did continuous situps for a minute.. was in pri2.. some pft.. and the next day my tummy hurt so bad i skipped school.. and i kept trying to remember whether someone punched me there without me knowing the day before... hehe

Sneeky-trix (0:51 AM) :
hahaha I htink it was fun being kids cause our memory isn't so good and we imagine strange things

::eX-bimbo:: (0:54 AM) :
not that it wasnt good lah.. but u remember the stupid things.. like ever since i got yogurt spattered all over myself at lunch once in pri 1, i've ALWAYS opened my yogurt (or anything with a tin foil seal) facing the person in front of me..

Sneeky-trix (0:56 AM) :
wah that's evil.... I remember calling some girl moustachy caused she had you know, like a thin moustache... and ever since she cried, I'm afraid that if I say the word out loud girls with moustaches will cry

::eX-bimbo:: (0:57 AM) :
i think they still will...

Oh Jasmine..

I tried supporting u.. and even though u looked so pretty tonight.. silky straight hair.. the turquiose halter.. and i was so happy to see you.. but when u sang.. i really kinda just held my breath and hoped for you to make it out in one piece.. didnt dare to expect anymore.. i dunno... i'd be pretty satisfied to be able to sing like you, but i guess in terms of AMI standard vocals, you're just not as strong as the other two.. though im sure u'd make a great Britney, or Hillary and a real cute cover girl... Maybe a couple years later she'll come back stronger..

Watched Troy yesterday.. it was great! Really one of the few newer movies that I would recommend others to watch.. thought it was better than Gladiator.. at least in terms of story elements.. the pictures were better in Gladiator.. but the men were *OMG* in Troy.. hah.

"The Gods envy us because we are mortal and they are not.. For all things are beautiful when they have an end"
(thank you, philo class.. and martin! haha)

You know.. in light of all the angry people American Idol made in the last episode where they kicked off Latoya London and kept Jasmine Trias.. im gonna give my 2 cents (sheesh, its my blog anyway..)

I'm not exactly a die hard fan but i enjoy watching the show here and there.. and frankly, i kinda like Jasmine.. i agree that she's really not the best singer of the competition, but shes got other qualities that make her fit to be AN (not THE) American idol.. i mean she's marketable.. shes sweet, portrays goodness, innocence and a healthy image.. and izznt that what americans care abt anyway? IMAGE? Quality can be trained.. but i think she's got charm.. thats powerful.. heck, it kept her in the competition that night.

I was pretty upset that Latoya was the one that had to be eliminated, cuz i think she's relatively pleasing to the eye as well.. but it IS rather starking that she's the one with the least personality.. perhaps not the lack of 'personality', infact i think she's the one with the most "CLASS", sophistication, maturity, and poise, but she's also the one with the least noticible/impression-leaving style..

The one i REALLY couldnt stand was Fantasia.. i shudder when she talks.. not really of what she really says (though that comes later) but just the sheer screech of her voice.. I know she wants to show attitude and all, as some celebrities are known for, but to a certain extent, and at her current position, it really turns me off and against her. Yeah i guess u could say that she's the opposite of jasmine.

alright.. go fight it out now..

I GOT A JOB =)
Thats definetly one holiday goal down..
Gonna start my 9-5 (or 6) on Monday.. working at Raffles City Tower.. so that means i only take 1/2 an hour to get to work! *yippie!*
It's some HR company that also designs psychometric tests for companies.. cool huh? Well, no staff discouts this time, unlike my last job (sorry babes)

Went cycling with Shane today at East Coast Park! He's gotten so tanned, i barely recognised him... that was until i figured that a figure running towards me with open arms and Shane's clothes and subsequently hugging me should've been shane.. Nice workout i guess.. havent seen him for so long!! (or so it felt anyway) James and his friend was there too.. and they looked so cute on the 2-seater bike *grin*

Just came back up from playing tennis with my dad and bro.. he bought a new racket tdy *yay* .it's always more fun playing with something new and perceived to be better.. agree? Well it's always true for me.. even on toothbrushes.. my mom bought me the Colgate Massage Toothbrush the other day.. i look foward to brushing my teeth now :)

Find out your IQ now!

I doubt the accuracy of this thing.. there was no time limit.. but a somewhat fun thing to do nonetheless =)

I AM FILING A COMPLAINT..
and my buddies in law (or wherever) are welcome to gimme their 2cents..

"I am a pageant contestant of the NUS Kent Ridge Hall Pageant 2004, an event that Daniel Yam had agreed to loan their merchandise to for use in the pageant show.
Their conditions were that we contestants were not allowed to visit and try on any of their dresses in any of their branches, until given permission to do so. And so we obeyed.

Only two days before the actual event, 15 February 2004, we were finally told to go for the dress trying at their Suntec City branch at around 11:00am.

We were told that each girl (there were 5 of us) were only allowed to try on 2 dresses, thus a total of 10 tries. We were only allowed to try on more if a fellow contestant sacrificed one of her chances for another contestant. The dresses were all chosen by the discretion of one of the saleswoman present. So basically, as long as the dresses did not fall off our bodies or did not seem to be in danger of splitting at the seams, we had to agree to wear the dress for the pageant.

I was first given a dress which I knew would not fit me well at all, but the saleswoman merely paused to look at me while waiting for me to take it from her hand. The dress indeed looked inappropriate on me and, after giving her some pointers on my silhouette, she pulled another dress off the racks for me to try (that being my second try). It fitted better than the first dress. However, the length was obviously too long for me, even when I was already wearing my 4-inch heeled shoes at the time. But even after voicing out my concerns for stepping or tripping over it, the saleswoman merely examined the hem and said “Just be careful and walk forward lor, should be ok. Not much we can do because we cannot not alter it for you.”

We were told to examine our assigned dresses to check for damages before signing the agreement that puts us liable for any subsequent damages incurred during the duration of our loan.

After the pageant show, which was held on 17 February 2004 at The Swissotel Stamford, I immediately changed out of the Daniel Yam dress. I did not remember encountering any incident that may have abnormally damaged the dress, and was happy to find no such damage on the dress either.

After the Kent Ridge Pageant coordinators, *unnamed to protect privacy*, had gone to return the dresses to Daniel Yam, they returned only to tell 4 of us contestant girls that we must buy our dresses as they were deemed damaged and unable to be sold. I was told by my Pageant Coordinators that some threads from the bottom hem of my polyester dress ran, but hardly noticeable and could still be worn. I quickly re-examined my dress – it was true that there were a few fine threads of polyester hanging from the edge, but after carefully snipping it off, it was hardly something unable to be sold.

Though utterly disappointed and shocked with the outcome, I paid $150.26 (after GST and 10% discount) to Angela, who had helped me pay for the dress first.

I paid due to pure convenience as I did not have the time for the hassle for taking it back to Daniel Yam to argue for reason and justice. But now that I have finished my exams and can afford the time to rethink the matter, I realize even more how ridiculous it was that I had to pay for the dress, and with a mere 10% discount at that. Did I mention that I do not even like that dress at all? How could I? I was not even allowed to choose the dress I was made to buy!

The so-called ‘damages’ on my dress were of a reasonable degree of wear and tear that should be assumed and expected by the managers of Daniel Yam from one night of displaying and advertising their merchandise on pageant contestants. I dare not suggest that this is their shady way of conning students for higher sales of their overpriced garments just because they think they own the local market, but this encounter with Daniel Yam has been, to say the least, more than disappointing."

Happy 22nd Birthday, Shane!

James and I planned a *surprise* party for Shane last night.. and it came so close to 'not' being a surprise so many times.. heh.. but i guess everyone had fun in the end and thats all it matters..

Wanna thank all these people for coming :)
Nat, Tenny, Ryan, Faith, Huimin, Eugene, Keith, Shaocong, Martin, Yinqi, Larry, and Jimmy

As you can see, it was a rather mixed group of Shane's friends, and first i was afraid the people wouldnt click, but by the time we got to Harry's, i think everyone would agree that we (in huimin's words) 'enjoyed ourselves silly' =)

Pictures frm my (nat's) camera are linked to [album#2]
the naughty photos are with yinqi.. hehe

TEN things u missed if u didn't come:

1)jimmy doing something to eugene's nipple

2)jimmy licking shaocong's ear

3)shacong biting shane (vampire style)

4)shane biting mil (lovebite style)

5)mil frenching shane

6)james' shot-glass oral sex (open end)

7)shane's chocolate shot-glass oral sex (bottom end)

8)the martin-huimin-keith threesome

9)the very yummy jugs of sangria, vodka lime, passion fruit marguerita (thank you, shane!)

10)the very yummy 'bag' of tawny port wine (thank you, huimin!)

I was playing foosball with shane at Topman today. And i realised, or rather, confirmed something about myself today:

I am a freakin' sore loser.

I've always known this, but reinforcing this fact today is something that i cant stand even more than losing itself.
We play foosball (im red; he's yellow).. and everytime he gets a goal in me.. i'll get mad and i'll score a goal back.. which is healthy competitive spirit i believe... Yet, sometimes he'll score a couple times in a row and i'll be so anxious to get even that im almost angry.. not at him, of course.. but at me.. to the extent where even if after i got even, i would have lost account of the score and just be desperate to score, no matter how many i've already scored in.. what makes it worse is when he helps me score.. that hurts even more than seeing him beat my ass with a smug on his face.. i think thats when my lips start pouting involuntarily and im just angry...

why am i angry?

that he thinks he needs to give me handicap?
that i might actually need a handicap?
that the pureness and clarity of what the game is supposed to test is now entirely disrupted because my opponent helped me score?
or that i just cant stand how he's better than in me everything??

*[im not picking on u sweetie.. please dont feel bad.. it could've been anyone.. im picking on me. ]*

the game was getting way beyond 'enough' but i wouldnt leave.. i couldnt.. but even then i knew that EVEN IF i scored 10 more goals fairly and consecutively from then onwards, i still wouldnt be satisfied.. just because he beat me in all those other times.. this is very bad.. very unhealthy.. nobody will play with you if ur like this mil.. they'll all just pretend to let u win or dont play with u at all! stupid mil... ;P

but despite being sucky in whatever i try to play.. i wanna play anyway.. forever thinking that all of a sudden, one of these days, with a stroke of genius.. i might actually play it good and win..

so here's me:
A sore loser who demands to play but doesnt wanna learn how.
a satisfactory summary i have concluded. :)

Watched "50 First Dates" today!

ok so i'm a bit laggin, but since everyone says it's hilarious, we naturally HAD to watch it right?
..AND adam sandler movies just never fail to make me laugh (and rob schneider justs adds the 'cringing over' effect to the laughter).. it was hilarious.. like jennifer said, i havent laughed out loud this hard inside the cinema for a long time.. real cute storyline..

here's the theme song! :)

Wouldn't it be nice if we were older
Then we wouldn't have to wait so long
And wouldn't it be nice to live together
In the kind of world where we belong

You know it's gonna make it that much better
When we can say goodnight and stay together

Wouldn't it be nice if we could wake up
In the morning when the day is new
And after having spent the day together
Hold each other close the whole night through

Happy times together we've been spending
I wish that every kiss was never ending
Wouldn't it be nice

Maybe if we thinkin' and wishin' and hopein' and prayin'
It might come true
Baby then there wouldn't be a single thing we couldn't do
We could be married
And then we'd be happy
Wouldn't it be nice

You know it seems the more we talk about it
It only makes it worse to live without it
But let's talk about it
Wouldn't it be nice

Good night baby
Sleep tight baby
Good night baby
Sleep tight baby

To my broken hearted friends.. (well, at least the one with the cute button-nose and weak ankles *wink*)

Love is not something you can control.
It comes- and most of the time, leaves.
Yet, the most irritating part, is that it never leaves clean.
Yes, despite all its many splendouredness;
love never cleans up after itself.

So what do you do with the cookie crumbs all over the place?
They're sweet, they remind you of the cookie..
But there's only so much you can pick up and finish off
And even such, each morsel you savour just makes you miss the times you had with the big cookie even more.
No matter where you sweep the crumbs, they'll still be somewhere within you.

So what do you do with the cookie crumbs all over the place?
Well, you can pick up each piece and cry over it.
You can go back to Mrs. Field's and see if they'll sell you the same cookie.
You can convince yourself that cookies are bad for health and you dont need another cookie in your system.
Or you can simply get another cookie and start all over again..
.. but this time, know that the cookie may finish at anytime, so take every bite as it was your last =)

Q: When was the last time you did something for the first time?

A: Oh.. yesterday?? =)

hehe yes for the first time I:
i went to Sentosa with Shane
bought stuff at Harbourfront to pack a picnic
tasted 'avocado and garlic' dressing (it cost the same as mustard, so we gave it a shot)
went tanning backless.. (and there were several times i *almost* forgot that im not supposed to get up/ roll over..
heheHE)

ooh the weather was beautiful, not a drop of rain.. thank you, mr sun! time flew by so fast i wished the day would just last forever.. *hmmmm* {^_^}

now im all toastie and a little bit ouchie.. but all up for another sunnie =)
